Let's talk about this Olmsted thing

So, "Olmsted" made this all possible, specifically, GEN George and Carol Olmsted. They started a foundation to support military officers and allow them an opportunity for a global (literally, "global") broadening experience. In the Army, this is one program from the catalog of the "Broadening Opportunity Programs." Those unfamiliar would recognize Olmsted as being similar to Fulbright or Rhodes Scholarships. Army folks might associate Olmsted with the Downing Scholarship or Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Internship. The programs have many similarities; academic focus, graduate level study, exposure to strategic-level thought...
